Seven traffickers held in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, March 17: Central Investigation Burea (CIB) of the police have arrested seven men from the capital city for their alleged involvement in girls trafficking .

The arrested are Sabin Shrestha, Sunil Adhikari, kedar Khadka, Nabin Dahal and an Indian national Tarun Khejbal.


A squad of police deployed by CIB following a tip-off nabbed them from Kathmandu and Lalitpur on Tuesday.

Hemanta Malla Thakuri, chief of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) said that that the gang has been involved in girls trafficking to Tanzenia, Kenya, Baharahin and Malaysia by luring into temptation assuring to provide good jobs to aforementioned places.

Further investigation into the case is underway, informed police.
