Police seize 600 kilograms of marijuana in Sunsari after shooting at fleeing traffickers

The traffickers attempted to flee when police tried to take control of a vehicle carrying the drug that was heading towards Dharan.

KATHMANDU, Dec 4: Police recovered 600 kilograms of marijuana after firing shots at traffickers attempting to escape in Sunsari, Dharan. 


According to police, the team deployed from the Area Police Office, Dharan fired four rounds and seized 600 kg of Marijuana from two vehicles.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Ram Prasad Timalsina, after the trafficker attempted to escape, fired four rounds and arrested one person.


The traffickers attempted to flee when police tried to take control of a vehicle carrying the drug that was heading towards Dharan. Police said they shot at the fleeing driver and brought him under control.
