Second abducted schoolboy also found dead in Banke

NEPALGUNJ, Oct 6: Police on Wednesday recovered the body of second abducted student, arrested six in connection with the abduction and murder and claimed that security personnel and human rights activists were also involved in the crime.



After recovering the body of Kapil Diwedi, a ninth grader, from Indrapur, Banke Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Binod Ghimire informed that they have arrested six including Meraj Ahmed Sai, who claimed to be the ‘army commander’ of under-ground outfit Tarai Janatantrik Party (Madhesh).[break] Sai is wanted criminal.



Diwedi was abducted along with Liladhar Bhatta, a tenth grader. Bhatta’s body was found on Monday in Karkado in similar state. Diwedi and Bhatta were close friends.



Bhatta’s father is a sub-inspector in Jajarkot while Diwedi’s father is the principal of a primary school.



Students and relatives have closed down market and private educational institutions in Banke district in protest of the abduction and murder.
