KATHMANDU, Jan 18: The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday reinstated Juddha Bahadur Gurung as the member secretary of National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC).

The SC issued an interim order to Forest Minister Muhammad Wakil Musalman, who is also the NTNC chairman, to allow Gurung to work as the member secretary. [break]

After reinstatement, Gurung said, “This is the victory of truth. I have always believed that there should be stability in any organization. The court´s order has helped maintain stability in NTNC.”

Minister Musalman had on Monday sacked Gurung from the post of NTNC member secretary accusing him of embezzling funds. Gurung moved the SC seeking his reinstatement on Thursday.

Minister Musalmand had sacked Gurung earlier as well. However, he was reinstated following a SC stay order on November 30.
