Remembering Indra Lohani

KATHMANDU, Jan 17: A memorial book and a video documentary dedicated to late Indra Lohani, an ace television journalist and advocate, was launched today in the capital to commemorate his first death anniversary.



Chief Guest Subas Nembang, Speaker of the Constituent Assembly (CA) launched the book titled “Euta Beglai Vyaktitwa—Indra Lohani” on the premises of Nepal Academy Hall in Kamaladi, Kathmandu. [break]



The 200-page book has photos of Lohani, 85 memorials and 16 poems penned down by different personalities such as actor Hari Bamsha Acharya, and Lohani’s family members.



Speaking at the program attended by different political figures, veteran journalist Kanak Mani Dixit said, “The poems dedicated by the two daughters of Lohani—Subangi and Samragi Lohani to their father surpass other writings in the book.”



The memorial book published by Indra Lohani Smriti Grantha Prakashan was on sale for Rs 300 and the documentary compiled in a CD for Rs 100. “The VCD and book will be made available in different libraries in and out of the country but will not be available in the market,” said Govind Lohani, Lohani’s younger brother.







Late Indra Lohani was an associate attorney with Dhruba Bar Singh Thapa & Associates and hosted a popular talk show ‘Bahas’ on Kantipur Television.
