BIRATNAGAR, Jan 28: Relatives of 11-year-old Laxmi Dhakal have torched 10 trucks after she was killed on the spot by a speeding truck, Na 3 Kha 3355 while crossing the road. The truck was heading to Biratnagar from Biratchaur when it hit Dhakal at Sishau Ghari-9.

The truck's driver made attempts to escape the scene but collided with a tree. Immediately after the accident, the relatives torched the truck as well as other ones, police said. As a result, the Chief District Officer, Ramesh KC has issued a prohibitory order until further notice.
The prohibitory order is in place at the following locations: Birat Chowk and West, the eastern part of Belepur and South of Sukanya Campus.
