RUKUM, June 18: Following obstructions due to heavy rainfall along various road sections in Rukum, locals have been facing an acute shortage of daily necessities. Due to the shortage, prices of daily necessities have skyrocketed, while locals have not been able to travel to other places to purchase daily necessities. [break]
A dozen villages in the district have lost transportation link with the district headquarters Musikot following incessant rainfall over the week. Many vehicles have been stranded mid-way due to obstructions caused by the heavy downpour. Transport services have come to a complete halt in villages, including Taksera, Kol, Kankri, Mahat, Morawang and Kanda, among others.
