Prez Yadav offering Tika at Sheetal Niwas

KATHMANDU, Oct. 14: All Hindus across the country today are preparing to receive Tika and blessings from their elders at the auspicious hour of 09:57 Monday morning.



The tenth and most important day of Bada Dashain festival today begins with the bisarjan of jamara at the auspicious hour of 9:25 am. This will then be followed by the receiving of the prasad of Nawa Durga Bhawani, Tika and Jamara from the leaders. [break]



Tika will continue throughout the day today and last until poornima or the final day of Dashain festival.



Marking the Vijaya Dashami, President Dr Ram Baran Yadav will offer Tika to those wishing to receive his blessings at Sheetal Niwas today from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, according to the Office of the President.
