According to SP Saurav Rana of District Police Office, Mahottari, the arrested are Subodh Kumar Sah and Sanjay Kumar Sah of Sahashaula VDC, Satu Yadav and Shyam Chaudhary of Ramgopalpur VDC, Gunilal Sah, Rajkishor Chaudhary of Aurahi VDC, Akbar Miya of Dhamaura VDC and Bharat Kumar Shrestha of Birgun, Parsa.
The gamblers were caught while engaging in the game from the lawn near a brick factory based in Ramgopalpur.
Police have also confiscated 49 thousand rupees in cash, a motorcycle along with other paraphernalia from the gambling site.
The arrested gamblers have been kept at the district police office. Further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
