Police bust gambling den, arrest 17

LALITPUR, Oct 6: Police carried a raid on a gambling den operated in the house of Ganesh Dahal in Khumaltar, Lalitpur and arrested 17 gamblers including the house owner. [break]

A team of police deployed by Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur, arrested them along with cash Rs 197,225 and nine packs of playing cards Saturday night, said police.

With the Dashin festival around the corner, police have busted the gambling den to discourage the gambling activities.
