Bir Bahadur Tamang was arrested on the charge of murdering Santu Maya Tamang, 15.[break]
A special police team of the District Police Office, Kathmandu, arrested Bir Bahadur, who was on the run after murdering Santu Maya on June 13, from Balaju in Kathmandu today.
Neighbours found the body of Santu Maya from a gorge, with her head severed from the body, while carrying out search as both of them were out of contact after they went to bed after taking meal in the evening.
Police had expedited the search for Bir Bahadur on the basis of complaint filed by their father.
Bir Bahadur is being brought to Nuwakot for legal action.
