KATHMANDU, Aug 31: Minister for Information and Communication Shankar Pokharel on Monday left for South Korea for a six-day visit during which he will inaugurate and observe 2009 IT Expo Busan. He will inaugurate the four-day expo being organized by the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency in collaboration with Busan Metropolitan City on September 2.
During his stay in Seoul and Busan, Pokharel will meet presidents of Korea Trade Investment promotion Agency and National Information Society Agency and discuss Korean assistance in promoting ICT in Nepal and other issues of bilateral interests. He will also meet presidents and CEOs of several big multi-national ICT firms and urge them to invest in Nepal´s ICT sector.
