“The dramatic Maoist report on the assault on Bista clearly shows that they want to cover the reality,” Pokharel said. He also the government is in a difficult position to start legal action against the assailants as the Maoists have not owned up to their role in the attack.
Unidentified persons had seriously beaten up Bista in Rukum on December 8. Though many suspect Maoist hands in the attack, the evidences to substantiate the allegations are still hazy.
