PM sees possibility of consensus

KATHMANDU, Oct 13: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has admitted that the UCPN (Maoist) and CPN-UML failed to follow due procedure while striking the three-point agreement recently.



Terming the agreement reached between two parties as ´botched´, he said, "The agreement lacks transparency as it was reached without following due procedure.”[break]

 

Addressing a delegation of Federation of Nepali Journalists at Singha Durbar on Wednesday, the prime minister also stressed on the need for handling issues in a transparent way.



"There is a possibility of consensus if the UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML agree to iron out the differences," he told FNJ representatives.
