The historical march was organized from Savoy Homan Hotel to Gedung Merdeka in Bandung. Prime Minister Koirala was flown to Bandung via special aircraft from Jakarta on Friday morning.Addressing the function, Indonesian President Joko Widodo called for Asian and African countries to continue work toward prosperity by echoing the Bandung Spirit and forging partnerships based on equality. He said that Asian and African countries must work shoulder to shoulder to create prosperity through economic and trade cooperation.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister Koirala's press coordinator Prakash Adhikari, Prime Minister Koirala also took part in the group photo session with the visiting head of the states or the government.
Earlier on Thursday, Prime Minister Koirala had addressed Asian-African Summit as a leader of Nepali delegation. The two-day Summit concluded on Thursday by adopting three outcome documents, namely i) Declaration on Reinvigorating the New Asian-African Strategic Partnership, ii) Declaration on Palestine and iii) Bandung Message 2015.
Both these events were held under the theme of "Strengthening South-South Cooperation to promote World Peace and Prosperity".
According to RSS, Prime Minister Koirala said that the New Asian-African Strategic Partnership (NAASP) Conference that concluded on Thursday in Indonesian capital city was very important and historical for the world peace and prosperity. He said that the commitments made by world leaders for this region's peace and stability marked the beginning of the new era.
"Nepal as the birthplace of Gautam Buddha always wants world peace and stability and I mentioned the same things to the world community during my address to the conference. The world leaders have highly appreciated my statement," the RSS quoted Prime Minister Koirala as saying.
Pointing out the need for collective unity and efforts for the world peace and stability, Koirala said further cooperation was needed as the Asian-African community would take the world's leadership in the days to come.
The Prime Minister also said that terrorism, poverty, unemployment and uproar in the region should be ended for the uplift of the people's livelihood and translated the declarations of the conference into action.
Meanwhile, Koirala and President of Myanmar, Thein Sein, on Thursday held a meeting at the Jakarta Conference Hall in the margins of the Tenth Anniversary Commemoration of the New Asian-African Strategic Partnership (NAASP) Conference, according to RSS.
The two leaders discussed issues of bilateral interest and mutual concern. President Thein Sein inquired of the peace process under way in Nepal while PM Koirala apprised him of ongoing constitution making process.
Prime Minister Koirala also held talks with Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj at the same venue. The meeting dwelled on a wide range of issues of bilateral interest and mutual concern.
