BIRATNAGAR, July 26: Home Ministry is all set to form a permanent Hajj Committee to ease the difficulties faced by Nepali Muslims during their pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina of Saudi Arabia.

“The homework for the committee is in the final stage,” State Minister for Home Affairs Rizwan Ansari said in a program organized by Nepal Muslim Etihad Organization in Biratnagar. “A joint-secretary will head the committee,” he added.

Till the date, the ministry forms a Hajj Committee every year.

The permanent committee is one the six points of the agreement that the government signed with the Muslim Struggle Committee. “It will take time to write Hajj Act,” Ansari added. “For until then, a permanent committee will look after the issues.”

Ansari also added that the government will soon decide on the construction of the Hajj House in Kathmandu. “The work is still in the ministry, but the government will soon endorse it,” he said.
