After Madhesi People´s Rights Forum (MPRF) delayed decision on whether or not to join the UML-led coalition by late evening, the parties decided to initiate the process for government formation without waiting for the MPRF decision.

“We have decided to wait for MPRF decision till 1 pm on Friday,” said NC vice-president Ram Chandra Poudel. “But if the MPRF fails to come up with its decision, we will start the process and the Forum will join it later.”

Leaders of four parties calculated the number of the members in their fold which could make up to 308, excluding Maoists, MPRF and CPN-United.
