KATHMANDU, March 28: Former Crown Prince Paras Shah, who was undergoing treatment at Samitivej Hospital after suffering a massive heart attack on February 19, was discharged from Bangkok hospital on Thursday.

Shah, however, won´t be returning home soon. “Doctors have advised him not to travel in aircraft for at least two months,” a reliable source told Republica. When asked whether this was due to “non-availability of his passport”, the source said: “No.”[break]

Shah´s passport was earlier seized by Thai police after he was rounded up in Phuket for carrying small amount of marijuana. “The issue has already been settled and the passport has been returned to him,” the source said.

Shah was rushed to Srinakarin branch of Samitivej Hospital in Bangkok on February 19 after suffering a cardiac arrest at the apartment of a Bangkok-based Nepali businessman.

Doctors had then performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with multiple DC shocks on Shah for 90 minutes to revive him. He was transferred to the hospital´s Sukumvit branch the next day while in coma due to hypoxic injury to the brain. He was then put on ventilator till March 3.
