KATHMANDU, March 7: Euro International School, Kadaghari, on Friday felicitated cricketer Paras Khadka and footballer Bimal Gharti Magar with Euro Sports Award.

The duos were given Rs 25,000 each amid a function in the capital. The two national level players were honored for contributing to uplift national pride through sports. Paras is the skipper of the national cricket team and Bimal is forward for the national football team.
RAUTAHAT, March 7: Rautahat has been crowned ANFA U-14 Girls’ Football Tournament champion following its 4-2 tie-breaker win against Banke played at Lamosanghu, Sindhupalchowk on Friday. The match had to be decided through penalties after the 70-minute regulation time ended in a 1-1 stalemate. A total of 12 teams had competed in the tournament. ANFA Acting President Lalit Krishna Shrestha handed over the award to the winning team. The tournament was organized by ANFA to select players for the AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championship to be held in Kathmandu from April 20.
