KATHMANDU, Sept 14: Member of the Board of Directors of the Sajha Publications, Nayan Raj Pandey has broken the fast-unto-death on Wednesday after Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai expressed his commitment to fulfill the demands put forth by Pandey.
Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai while reaching Ratnapark this morning, where Pandey sat for hunger strike, said the government was positive to address his demands.[break]
Pandey has been on hunger strike for the past three days putting various demands including keeping the Sajha Publications under the purview of the Education Ministry, appointment of General Manager (GM) through open competition and scrapping of provision allowing a single person to take charge the post of Chairman and GM.
PM Bhattarai made Pandey break the hunger strike by offering juice.
