KATHMANDU, July 27: Pakistan government has provided US$ 1 million to support Nepal's recovery and reconstruction efforts.
Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal Arshed Saud Khosa on Monday handed over a cheque worth US$ 1 million to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala amid a function held at the Prime Minister's Official Residence in Baluwatar on Monday.

The amount is provided for the recovery and reconstruction of Nepal in view of the devastation caused by the April 25 earthquake, according to a press statement issued by the Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu.
Pakistan had pledged US$ 1 million for recovery and reconstruction of Nepal during the International Conference on Nepal's Reconstruction. PM Koirala thanked the Pakistan government for the support and appreciated Pakistan's relief and medical assistance in the post-earthquake.
During the call with Prime Minister Koirala, Ambassador Khosa also discussed various issues of mutual interests to the two countries.
