KATHMANDU, March 16: The teaser of Pahad, directed by Tulsi Ghimirey, has been released. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on April 14, the Nepali New Year.
According to Ghimirey, who also wrote the film, Pahad portrays the growing trend of youth migration abroad, leaving the hills deserted and creating social and economic challenges.

“The hills are beautiful places shaped by the dedication of our ancestors. But today many have become deserted as young people migrate abroad or move in search of jobs,” Ghimirey said, adding that the film reflects a broader national reality.
Produced under the banner of Bhaagyaratna Films Pvt Ltd, the film features Bipin Karki, Sunil Thapa, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Renu Nath Yogi, Arun Chhetri, Rabindra Singh Baniya and Uma Giri in key roles. Ghimirey is also introducing his youngest daughter, Panchami Ghimirey, as an actress through the film.
The film’s music is composed by Ranjit Singh Gazmer, while the cinematography is by Pramod
Pradhan.
Pahad will be distributed in Nepal by Shree Byanktesh Entertainment and internationally by Seven Seas International Films.
