Orientation to medical persons before mobilizing in flu-hit Jajarkot

KATHMANDU, April 22: The doctors and other health workers to be mobilized in the influenza-hit area of Jajarkot district will be done so only after orientation.

Releasing a press statement on Wednesday, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers said the decision was taken after a meeting with the Constituent Assembly members from Jajarkot. The medical persons' teams would be mobilized after coordinating with the district coordination committee, and the blood tests would be conducted massively to ascertain the disease.Moreover, as it was learnt that the fowls at Dhime VDC had shown bird flu symptoms, an emergency team of veterinarians would be mobilized soon and necessary measures taken.

The government will also set up additional health camps at health posts, help desk at Syauli, arrange stretchers, quarantine offices in the borders of Kalikot, Rukum, Dailekh and Dolpa district along with mobile health camps, adds the statement. RSS
