The deceased has been identified as Aman Mahato, 30, son of Janakpur-based businessman Gaurshankar Mahato. The injured has been identified as Roshan, 28, son of Bajaranga Prasad Sah, former mayor of Janakpur Municipality.[break]
According to police, Mahato and Sah met with the accident as they were returning home driving a Kia car and collided with the Scorpio car coming from opposite direction. Sah and Mahato are believed to have consumed alcohol at a hotel in Dhalkebar prior to accident.
The injured Saha is undergoing treatment in a critical condition at Biratnagar-based neuro hospital. According to family sources, Sah has received serious injuries at his heady and kidney.
Police have rounded up the Scorpio driver who had also received minor injury in the accident.
