NSP leader Mishra joins SP

KATHMANDU, Aug 20: Officiating Chairman of Nepal Sadbhavana Party (NSP) Devendra Mishra has joined Rajendra Mahato-led Sadbhavana Party (SP) amidst a function in the capital on Tuesday.

Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, party general secretary Manish Suman said, “Our Chairman Mahato welcomed Mishra as he is a responsible leader of Madhes politics.” Mishra was general secretary of the NSP before joining SP. [break]

Talking to Republica Online, Mishra said, “Following the Supreme Court’s order to recognize Giri-led NSP, I decided to quit the party as I felt demoralized.”
He claimed that he joined Mahato’s party for the cause of Madhesh. He accused NSP Chairperson Sarita Giri of not being practical.
