Olaide Ibrahim scored the lone goal for NRT in the 23rd minute of the match. Sushil KC crossed the ball from the flank to Ibrahim in the danger area and the latter sent it home to provide lead to NRT.[break]
NRT had the lion´s share of possession and dominated Jawalakhel in the first half. However, both the teams were engaged in midfield battle for the remaining period of the match.
Jawalakhel, which was without its forwards Thomas Wangira Biket and Juma Benlee, tried to put NRT under pressure in the dying minutes but NRT held its nerve to win the match. NRT had beaten Jawalakhel 2-0 in the recently concluded first round of the Martyrs Memorial Red Bull A Division League.
