KATHMANDU, Sept 25: Ooredoo Qatar, a telecom company of Qatar, has introduced discounted rate for calling in any number of Nepal Telecom (NT) from Qatar.
According to a press statement issued on Friday, Ooredoo pre-paid customers can call to any NT number at Rs 5.75 per minute. Earlier, Nepalis calling home from Qatar had to pay around Rs 13 per minute.

The offer is valid from September 25 to October 24 and benefits around 700,000 Nepalis living in Qatar, the statement added. Customers making call to Qatar from Nepal have to pay Rs 12 per minute.
Meanwhile, NT is providing EVDO WiFi router with 5 GB data to category winners of Nepal Film Technician Association (NEFTA) Awards being held in Qatar.
