Norway minister in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, June 4: Norwegian Minister for International Development Heikki Holmas arrived in Kathmandu for a two-day official visit to Nepal.



He held separate parleys with caretaker Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, caretaker Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun, Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal after his arrival in Kathmandu, Monday morning. [break]



The meetings focused on current political situation in the aftermath of the dissolution of Constituent Assembly (CA) without promulgating a new statute. He is scheduled to hold a press conference before wrapping up his visit on Tuesday afternoon.



Minister Holmas´ visit to Nepal is his first official outside the country after he become minister.
