Nine gamblers held

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Police raided a gambling house at Maitidevi and arrested nine persons on Wednesday evening. Police said the gambling house was operated as a ´mini-casino´ with several facilities to the clients.



Among the arrested are the owner duo Gopal Rana and Prem Lama. They had been operating it in a house where a sign board was hung to show it as a real estate business office. Police seized Rs 76, 000 cash and accessories used in gambling from the gamblers.



Others arrested are Shambhu Lama, Birkhalal Biruwa, Anup Lama, Kamal Paudel and Pradeep Shrestha.
