KATHMANDU, July 27: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has reiterated that new constitution would guarantee people's rights to information in Nepal.
Addressing a program organized to hand over report on the activities carried out by National Information Commission (NIC) over the past six years at the prime minister's official residence in Baluwatar on Monday, Prime Minister Koirala said the new constitution will give due importance to right to information as this is vital in a democracy.

Prime Minister Koirala said that correct information helps to take decisions, but there should not be the tendency to provide wrong information. Prime Minister Koirala also said that dissemination of correct information except on those prohibited issues can help ensure good governance in the country.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Koirala said they are making efforts to incorporate views from all parties and groups. NIC Chief Information Commissioner Krishna Hari Banskota handed over the report to Prime Minister Koirala.
