Binay Tripathi, deputy general manager of Him Electronics - the authorized distributor of Samsung home appliances in Nepal, said the company introduced new range of front loading washing machines as the demand for washing machines has increased drastically this winter compared to last year. [break]“The demand for washing machines has increased by almost 60 percent this winter,” said Tripathi.
Two of the new models are of 6 kg capacity, while other two are of 5.5 kg and 7 kg capacity.
All the new models use Eco Bubble technology that washes cloths with bubbles created by dissolving detergent with air and water before the normal cycle starts, according to Tripathi. “This technology helps the detergent penetrate perfectly into fabrics, maximizes the washing performance and helps clean the toughest of stain 40 times faster that other technology,” said Tripathi.
All the new models have features like digital inverter motor, ceramic heater, volt control system, diamond drum, and Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT) Plus.
According to the company, digital inverter motor saves energy, balances drum spin to reduce noise and vibration and reduce wear and tear on the motor itself. Similarly, VRT Plus technology ensures silent operation of the machine so that people can enjoy sound sleep even if the machine is operated in midnight.
“Load-shedding has not affected our sales. In fact, the demand for washing machine is increasing,” Tripathi said, elaborating that Samsung washing machines have a special feature named ´Delay Start´ which help users to set washing time as per the load-shedding schedule. “The machine starts automatically when power supply resumes after load-shedding.”
The new models are priced between Rs 54,990 and Rs 62,990. Him Electronics provides one year warranty on these machines.
