Koji Tanaka, vice president for Honda Siel Power Products India, and Saurabh Jyoti, chairman for STC, jointly launched the new products.
Speaking on the occasion Jyoti said the newly launched models have unique features such as lesser fuel consumption of only 0.54 liter per hour, more load handling capacity with rated output of 750 VA and decompression mechanism which makes it easy to operate. “As these products generate more output, it is best for our country where load shedding and fuel shortage is very frequent,” he added.
The company has claimed that the products are environment friendly as they produce less noise.
The new generators use 4-stroke technology which means users do not need to add engine oil in fuel during refueling unlike the models using 2-stroke technology. Both the models are smaller in size and have lesser weight there by making it easier for mobility, according to the company.
Officials of Syakar said the generators are best for households and small businesses.
“As these generators are very efficient, they can be a good substitute for invertors with similar capacity,” added Jyoti.
The Honda EG 1000 is available at Rs 44, 500, while the EP 1000 is priced Rs 52,800.
In the EP series, Syakar is currently selling four different models -- EP 1800 CX, EP 2500 CX, EP 3800 CX and EP 5000 CX with maximum output capacity of 1.5 KVA to 4.5 KVA. Similarly in the EG series, Syakar recently introduced EG 500 CXS with the maximum output capacity of 5.5 KVA.
