Nepse up by 4.43 points

KATHMANDU, April 30: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, gained 4.34 points on Thursday to close at 647.78 points. The index, which is regarded as a barometer of consumers´ confidence in stock market, rose for the third consecutive day as major groups gained in their indices.



Sensitive Index -- an indicator of share value of Category ´A´ companies, also saw 1.43 points rise to 172.24 points while Float Index -- an indicator of the share value of ordinary shares in secondary market -- inched up by a nominal 4.34 points to close at 647.78 points.



During the trading on Thursday, the last day of the week´s trading, indices of Banking Group and Finance Group went up by 6.9 points and 4.02 points, respectively. Similarly, Index of Insurance Group soared by 0.78 points, Manufacturing Group by 4.93 points and Others Group by 8.23 points.



However, Development Bank Group and Hydropower Group lost 3 points and 1.43 points, respectively.
