KATHMANDU,

Nepali rock band ‘1974 AD’ has refuted the false case against them in the district court. The band said on Tuesday that they came to know about the false acquisition via news media.

On the behalf of HAB amoment limited, UK, Nabin Gurung of Lalitpur had filed a lawsuit against the band and its manager Sanjay Shrestha with demand of Rs 300,000 in compensation. The petitioner alleged that the band did not perform in London even after taking the money.

However, the band has denied the accusation against them. A statement was issued by 1974 AD. The statement states, “We have just come to know about the case against 1974 AD through the media. We would like to inform all well-wishers that nothing written in that news is from us and we have not followed any contract and we have hired legal counsel to fight against this false complaint against us and we will obey the order of the summoned court.”
