KATHMANDU, March 22: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) along with five private travel companies participated in the 22nd Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (MITT) held at Expocenter Fairgrounds, Moscow, from March 18-21.
According to the participating Nepali companies, the participation at the fair provided optimum opportunities to create network for business possibilities in the near future, to rekindle old ties and also to get the real feel of the Russian market.

“The participation was for the promotion of Nepal as a world class holiday destination among the travel and tour companies from Russia and Europe.,” NTB said in a press statement, “With the Russians' growing spending power and their penchant for travel to exotic new destinations, Russia is a fast upcoming value market for the natural wonderland Nepal.”

The show which included 2,056 participants from more than 200 countries all over the world, spread across nine different halls at the venue. While the first two days were reserved for trade visitors, the last two days were for consumers.

MITT, the annual travel event of Moscow, is Russia's largest and longest running travel exhibition and traditionally marks the beginning of the region's spring-summer tourism season.
