In the semifinal match played at the TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, Nepal defeated UAE by 21 runs. Batting first, Nepal made 144 for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 40 overs, and then restricted UAE to 123 in 39 overs. Man-of-the-match Pradeep Airee claimed five wickets for Nepal, while captain Prithu Baskota and Avinash Karn took two wickets each.
In the other semifinal, Malaysia defeated Qatar by 55 runs at the IOE Cricket Ground, Pulchowk. Malaysia made 171 runs before being bundled out in 39.1 overs. In reply, Qatar was all out for 116 in 33 overs.
