KATHMANDU, March 17: A meeting of Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN-UML held late in the evening on Monday decided to make maximum efforts to settle disputes with the opposition alliance in consensus.

"The opposition alliance's announcement for further protests is a wrong decision. We decided to urge them to withdraw the protest program," UML Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Paudel told Republica. "We will also employ all efforts to bring them back to the CA and resume the stalled CA procedures soon."

The meeting attended by top leaders from NC and UML was held at UML Chairman KP Oli's residence at Balkot, Bhaktapur. They reached Oli's residence as his health condition didn't allow him to venture outside the residence.
