KATHMANDU, Aug 3: Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala called on President Dr Ram Baran Yadav at the Office of the President Saturday afternoon. After the meeting, Koirala said he informed the President about his impending India visit.
Koirala is leaving for India on a friendly visit on Sunday at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. During the meeting, the President urged Koirala to take initiative to bring the agitating parties on board the election on behalf of the High-Level Political Committee. [break]
In response, Koirala said that effort for talks with the agitating parties is underway.
Koirala also said that there was no alternative to election on November 19 and the CA election would not be postponed at any cost.
