BARDIYA, Dec 10: CPN-UML vice-chairman Bamdev Gautam has lost to Nepali Congress candiate Sanjaya Gautam in the House of Representatives in Bardiya-1.
Sanjaya has defeated Bamdev by 727 votes. Sanjaya Gautam secured 44,434 votes while his rival candidate obtained 44, 076 votes.
Sanjaya is the former Irrigation Minister. Bamdev is the former Home Minister.
