KATHMANDU, May 14: Nepali Congress (NC) has formed a three-member committee under the chair of the party´s central member Narahari Acharya to sort out differences among various district working committees that had surfaced right after the unification of NC and then NC (Democratic).

A meeting of the party´s Central Working Committee meeting on Friday has asked the committee to settle the row at the earliest, said party spokesperson Arjun Narsingh KC. Two other members of the committee are Jiwan Prem Shrestha and Basanta Gautam.

Serious differences have surfaced in various district committees of the party, including in Okhaldhunga, Sankhuwasabha, Ramechhap, Nuwakot, Parvat, Saptari, Bara and Kailali.

This has also affected the timetable of the party´s 12th general convention scheduled for August 26 to 30 in Kathmandu as the distribution of active membership is yet to start in these districts.

KC said the ongoing CWC meeting also directed the Election Committee formed under the chair of Radhe Shyam Adhikari to submit timetable of village, municipal, regional and district election of the party within the next three days.
