KATHMANDU, Sept 4: The Nepali Congress has proposed Reporters Club Nepal’s Chairman Rishi Dhamala as a candidate for the forth coming Constituent Assembly elections.
It is learnt that the party has recommended his name to the CA under the category of proportional representation (PR) system from the constituency No. 2 of Dhading.
Dhamala has been proposed as a candidate in line with the party policy to include the people who have made contributions to the nation from various walks of life, said regional committee president Binod Timsina. [break]
Dhamala has been nominated for his contribution to democracy through media. Aside from Dhamala, other candidates including Chija Kumar Shrestha, Gopal BK, Ambika Adhikari have also featured the NC PR candidacy list.
