NC concerned over ongoing protests; Nidhi's house vandalized

KATHMANDU, May 20
: Nepal Congress (NC) has expressed its deep concerns over the ongoing protests by different groups across the country.



Issuing a statement on Sunday, the party has stressed that democratic re-structuring of the state through multi-ethnicity, multi-lingual and multi-culture will only ensure the unity and communal harmony in the country. [break]



“The delineation of the provinces should reflect ethnicity, language, culture and historic identity including economic-physical-administrative capability required for a province,” the statement maintains.



The party further asserts that existing districts should not be disintegrated while restructuring the state.



NC leader house vandalized



A rally lead by Madhesi People’s Right Forum District Chairman Sesh Narayan Yadav vandalized house of Nepali Congress (NC) leader Bimalendra Nidhi in Dhanusa on Sunday, a press statement issued by the NC reads.
