NC senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba said, “Since an election is a must in a democratic country there will be the election on November 19 - at any cost.”

“People are all powerful. And they punish the party which does not worked in their interest. So you should all be able to win their hearts,” Deuba added.

He also underscored the need to settle the intra-party strife to make NC the largest party in the fresh election. “Our victory is a must to promulgate a democratic constitution,” he added.

NC Vice-president Ram Chandra Poudel said the election will be held in the scheduled date even if some political parties choose to boycott or even try to thwart it.

General Secretary Prakash Man Singh alleged that the CPN-Maoist and other fringe parties want to prolong transition period in Nepal.

Another General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula also aired similar view.

Altogether 300 participants will now head for all the constituencies in 75 districts to make the people aware about the party´s plans and policies.
