KATHMANDU, March 10: Pallav Ranjan, artist and writer, is taking “E-opportunities”-- a 58x8 foot painting on a single canvas accompanied by other smaller paintings -- on a tour across Nepal.

Ranjan plans to take the exhibition to 18 different locations -- from Mahendranagar in the far west to Bhadrapur in the far east. And after 60 days it will come full circle, with a final showing in Bhaktapur. [break]

It all started with the display of the artwork at CAN Infotech, Bhrikuti Mandap, Feburary 1-6, followed by show in Chitwan, Narayanghat, from March 7- 8. Next on agenda is the exhibition at Kanchanpur, Mahendranagar on March 10 and two days later in Dadeldhura.

Sponsored by muncha.com and supported by more than 20 arts, media, and community organizations, the event also carries the objective of sharing a range of opportunities on the internet that can impact human lives positively during the tour.

With strong influences of minimalism the main painting accompanied by 18 other artwork weighs more than 400 kilos and is expressionist in nature, providing a unique blend of styles, colors, and content.

Apart from art, the tour will also be showcasing books, including Pallav Ranjan’s work like Swasthani in English, Modern Poets of Europe, Anthologies of Australasian Stories, Selected Poems of Nepal and Sun on the Mountains.

You can access regular updates on the tour at saarohan.com.np, Facebook pages of Pallav Ranjan, Spiny Babbler, Muncha.com; or you can dial 5542810, 5527406, and 9851083036 for further queries on location and date of exhibition.
