NA to boycott JMCC meeting

KATHMANDU, Aug 25: Nepal Army is set to boycott the meeting of the Joint Monitoring Coordination Committee scheduled for Thursday. The committee is scheduled to discuss the issue of fresh recruitment in Nepal Army.



Earlier on Wednesday, the army had asked the JMCC not to put the recruitment as the agenda of the meeting as the recruitment is in accordance with the interim constitution, a source said.



The army decided to boycott the meeting after the JMCC´s refusal to drop the recruitment issue from its meeting agenda.
