MPRF shuts Parasi bazaar

KAWASOTI, July 26: Activists of Madesi People´s Rights Forum enforced a shutdown in Parasi bazaar from Monday morning to protest the arrest of Forum cadres who had gone to the police office to free a tractor that was impounded for lacking documents.



MPRF activists closed shops, schools and transportation services. They accused the police of arresting tractor owner Shridhar Bhar and MPRF’s district member Ram Samujh Paswan without any reason.



Superintendent of Police Krishna Gautam said MPRF cadres also manhandled a police constable. He said legal action would be taken against the arrested cadres.
