KATHMANDU, May 6: Chairman of Madhesi People´s Rights Forum and Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav on Wednesday said there was no alternative to consensus in moving forward.

Yadav cut short his visit and returned to Kathmandu after attending the ministerial-level meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) meet in Cuba. He also visited Norway and other countries. His trip to Canada, France and Brazil was put off in the wake of grave political situation in the country.

With the Maoist-led government reduced to a caretaker status after Prime Minister Pushpa Kamala Dahal resigned on Monday, the political parties are holding negotiations for striking up the next coalition government.

MPRF, that skipped the all-party meeting along with Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), holds the key to any new coalition with its near decisive 51 members in the Constituent Assembly cum Legislative-Parliament.
