According to police inspector Sher Bahadur Chand, those killed are Sangita Pariyar, 27, and her daughter Ritika Pariyar, 10 of Nirmalapokhari of the district.[break]
They were killed when the mudslide hit their rented house. The mother and daughter had been living at the house since last year.
House owner Ramesh Pariyar’s 20-year-old son Ranjan Pariyar too was injured due the incident and is undergoing treatment at the local Charak Hospital.
