MoHA says 19 vehicles damaged, 9 hurt in the strike

KATHMANDU, April 7 :The first day of the three-day general strike called by 30-party alliance affected normal life across the country with many vehicles vandalized and many bandha enforcers arrested from different parts of the country, reads the statement by Ministry of Home Affairs(MoHA).

Bandha enforcers have damaged 17 vehicles and three of the vechicles were burnt down. Enforcers also vandalized the vehicles belonging to Mechi Municipality Office and revenue office.


Meanwhile, police have arrested 50 banda supporters from throughout the nation.

The statement also reads that six persons in the side of security forces and three strike enforcers were injured in a clash that took place at different parts of the country.

The statement further reads that Ministry was always ready to provide security to general citizens and will not tolerate any activities which brings trouble to the public.
