Missing Chinese man found dead

PARVAT, March 11: A Chinese national who went missing while rafting in the Kali Gandaki River in Parvat district has been found dead after 17 days. His body was found on the bank of the river at Narayansthan VDC of the district Wednesday.
 
Earlier on February 22, the Chinese national Qwan Xi had gone missing while rafting in the Kali Gandaki River. Following the incident, a team of the Armed Police Force (APF) was mobilized to intensify search for the missing Chinese tourist.
 

“We kept on searching the missing Chinese national. However, we could find him after 17 days only,” said Tejnath Budhathoki, police inspector at the APF's Chandika battalion, Kushma of Parvat district.

According to the District Police Office (DPO) of Baglung, the body was taken to Dhaulagiri Hospital for postmortem.  Police said the body will be handed over to the family after postmortem.
